Why Ductless?

Ductless systems – also known as ductless split systems, ductless mini-splits, or ductless heat pumps - use small, quiet indoor wall or ceiling units combined with compact outdoor units to provide heating and cooling.  They’re extremely efficient, using a fraction of the energy of conventional heating or cooling systems and saving you money.  You heat or cool only the spaces that need it - saving even more energy and money.  And because no ductwork is needed, installation is quick and easy - you don’t need to shut down for major construction.

Mr. Slim

First Call features the Mitsubishi Electric Mr. Slim line of ductless systems for small to medium scale applications and Mitsubishi’s CITY MULTI line for larger scale commercial and institutional uses.  Mitsubishi is the premier name in ductless systems with advanced features, cutting edge technology, and a reputation for the highest quality.  

Indoor units are whisper quiet, as low as 24 db(A).  Outdoor units operation as low as 56 db(A) – about the same as normal conversation.  That’s a major benefit, especially for schools, hospitals, other healthcare facilities, and libraries.

Mr. Slim is perfect for spaces like retail stores, restaurants, churches & synagogues, medical offices - as well as computer, server, and telecom rooms or other areas that need cooling year round no matter what.  

CITY MULTI

Mitsubishi’s award winning CITY MULTI line is perfect for larger commercial buildings, schools, hospitals, etc. – featuring a flexible, modular approach, great energy savings, efficient & quiet operation, and ease of installation.  

A CITY MULTI system consists of one or more outdoor units with multiple indoor units of various styles along with a BC controller or manifold and a series of zone or system controllers.  

CITY MULTI uses VRFZ (Variable Refrigerant Flow Zoning) INVERTER technology to vary the speed of the compressor in the outdoor unit to meet the changing load requirements in each of the indoor zones and to recycle the energy from zones not needing heating or air conditioning.

Flexible Control Options

Flexible zone controls gives maximum comfort and energy savings because only the zones that need heating or air conditioning receive it.  Each zone has its own indoor unit or group of indoor units that precisely control the indoor temperature while operating at optimum energy usage.

A CITY MULTI system can also be controlled from a PC using the CITY MULTI Controls Network (CMCN) and can be interfaced to an existing Building Management System (BMS) via LonWorks® or BACnet® for total building control.
