First Call Heating & Cooling provides a wide variety of Air Quality services. Our trained and qualified staff can:

  • Test your air to help identify health, comfort, and safety concerns.
  • Clean and sanitize air ducts and heating/cooling equipment using a process certified by the National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA).
  • Seal leaky ducts as an EnergyTrust of Oregon trade ally, which can make you eligible for a cash rebate from EnergyTrust.
  • Install whole-home air cleaners and design air cleaning systems that quietly and efficiently remove airborne triggers for asthma, allergies, and other respiratory illnesses.

Quick Facts:

  • Indoor air pollution can be 2 to 5 times greater than outdoor pollution (EPA)
  • Most people spend 60% to 90% of their time indoors (American Lung Association)
  • Children and the elderly are especially affected by indoor air pollution(Department of Consumer Affairs)

Air Testing and Design of Whole-Home Air Cleaning Systems

How do you know if your air is unhealthy?  At First Call Heating and Cooling, we can provide you with the answer. Our indoor air specialists have the qualifications and training necessary to interpret air test results and design air cleaning systems to meet your specific needs.

We use a scientific approach to understand your indoor air, and we work hard to make indoor air easy to understand. First we test the air to see if contamination is present. Once we understand the types and levels of contamination, we can work with you to design the best air cleaning system to meet your budget and your needs. We install a variety of well-engineered air cleaning equipment, and we have the experience required to get results.

The following are important questions to ask:

  • Does anyone in your home have allergies, asthma, or other respiratory problems?
  • Does anyone smoke in your home?
  • Are there pets in your home?
  • Are you buying a new or newly remodeled home?
  • Do you notice “stale” or “musty” odors from your furnace or air conditioner?

An answer of “YES” to any of these can be a good reason to consider having your air tested and your ductwork and heating equipment cleaned or sealed!

Our Cleaning Methods

At First Call Heating & Cooling, the key components of our state of the art duct cleaning system are the patented HEPA-AIRE portable vacuum and the AIRE-SWEEP compressor. With this method, both brushes and compressed air are used to break loose dirt and dust. The HEPA vacuum collects the debris from inside your ductwork, and prevents it from escaping into your living space.
